Learn vital water skills with Swim Safe and Kids’ Club
Elemental works with many local primary and secondary schools in Cornwall, making us one of the leading watersports providers in the South West. We have been established for nearly 20 years and have an outstanding safety record.
Our Kids’ Club and Swim Safe sessions are a great way for young people to improve their confidence in water and learn vital safety skills.
Our sessions
Kids’ Club
Designed for young people aged 6 to 14, Kids’ Club is a fun, active and safe way to entertain children at weekends and in school holidays. It’s great for anyone who loves being in the sea, on the beach and out in the fresh air with friends.
Sessions take place at Swanpool Beach in Falmouth and Elemental Lodge in Newquay, and activities include coasteering, kayaking, stand-up paddle-boarding, bodyboarding, surfing, mega-SUP and raft-building.
All sessions are run by fully qualified instructors who are experts at getting the most out of the young people they teach, from dare-devil adrenaline junkies to non-swimmers and those who have no previous experience of watersports. Buoyancy aids and protective helmets are worn at all times and all instructors are DBS-checked and NGB-certified.
Swim Safe
The Swim Safe programme was designed by Swim England and the RNLI to help children aged from 7 to 14 stay safe when in or near open water, and Elemental works with them to deliver this message to young people in Cornwall and beyond.
The central message of each 60-minute session is “Relax, Float, Breathe” and this approach has been proven to save lives.
Swim Safe sessions are FREE and take place at Swanpool beach in Falmouth and at Elemental Lodge, a stone’s throw from Fistral beach in Newquay.
