Multi-activity watersports instructor

Job Role:
To facilitate safe and fun learning by assisting in the preparation, organisation, delivery and running of activities for children and adult clients both on and off the water.

We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic multi-activity watersports instructors for summer 2026! We have full time/part time and freelance work available. We offer staff uniform, competitive rates of pay, comprehensive staff training and a friendly, supportive working environment.

In this role you will work closely with the senior instructors to deliver fun and engaging sessions including paddle sports, sailing, coasteering and more to a range of ages. We have work available from mid-April onwards, so if you are interested in spending your summer teaching watersports activities in Cornwall get in touch!

Qualifications required:
8hr 1st Aid

Qualifications desired (but not essential):
RYA Dinghy Instructor, RYA Windsurf Instructor, Paddle UK Paddlesports Instructor (or equivalent), Beach Lifeguard

Summer Tours Rep

Job Role:
We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing young people for our summer rep roles in summer 2026! We offer staff uniform, competitive rates of pay, and a friendly and supportive working environment.

In this role you will move with residential school groups on their day-to-day activities between our Falmouth centre and other activities in Newquay, liaising with the instructors and hotel staff to ensure all needs are met and catered for during their stay. Accommodation and food are all included whilst the group are staying with us. Hospitality Assistant (seasonal or part-time)

Job Role:
Elemental Surf Lodge is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Hospitality Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves delivering high-quality service to our guests and supporting the day-to-day operations of the lodge, including housekeeping, food service and guest relations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Housekeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of guest rooms and common areas, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
  • Breakfast Service: Prepare and serve breakfast, catering to various dietary requirements and ensuring a delightful dining experience.
  • Dinner Service: Assist in the preparation and delivery of dinner services, providing excellent customer service and a warm dining environment.
  • Making Packed Lunches: Prepare and pack lunches for guests, accommodating specific dietary needs and preferences.
  • Prepping Dinner Services: Assist in the kitchen with meal prep, including ingredient preparation and organising cooking stations.
  • Checking Guests In: Greet guests upon arrival, assist with check-ins, and provide information about lodge facilities and local activities.
  • Helping Guests with Issues: Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of satisfaction throughout their stay.
  • Reporting to the Manager: Communicate any feedback, issues or suggestions to management to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency.

Qualifications required:

  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Bonus points for:

  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred.
  • Experience working in a hospitality or lodge environment.
  • Familiarity with outdoor adventure activities.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and surf culture.
  • Multilingual abilities.

Housekeeper (seasonal or part-time)

Location:
Newquay, Cornwall, UK

Job Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper to join our team. You will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the lodge, ensuring all rooms and common areas meet our high standards. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms and common areas to a high standard.
  • Follow the Housekeeping SOP and Room Changeover Checklist to ensure consistency.
  • Use cleaning products and equipment safely, wearing PPE as required.
  • Ensure wet floor signs are used, and rooms are well-ventilated during cleaning.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the Lodge Host.
  • Maintain guest privacy and security when accessing rooms and locked areas.
  • Submit a detailed, task-based timesheet to management every Friday.
  • Carry out additional housekeeping tasks as required, including during busy periods.

Requirements:

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, trustworthy and committed to maintaining high standards.
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures in a hospitality setting.

Watersports instructor (seasonal or part-time)

Location:
Newquay, Cornwall, UK

Job Role:
Elemental Surf Academy is looking for a passionate and experienced surf instructor to join our team. We are a leading surf school in Newquay, Cornwall, and we are committed to providing our students with the best possible learning experience. Most of the job will be working with large groups of children, delivering surfing, bodyboarding, hand planning/body surfing and beach games sessions.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach watersports lessons to individuals and groups of all skill levels, with a focus on large groups of children.
  • Provide safety instructions and ensure a safe and fun learning environment.
  • Assist students with equipment selection and maintenance.
  • Promote Elemental Surf Academy and its values.

Qualifications:

  • ISA Level 1 or 2 Surf Instructor certification (For Surfing).
  • Current lifeguarding certification (Essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS (Essential).

Bonus points for:

  • At least 2 years of coaching and/or work experience with children.
  • Experience working with SEND children.
  • Experience teaching in a variety of wave conditions.
