The sheltered bay at Swanpool is the perfect place to learn to kayak.

We use ‘sit-on-top’ kayaks, which are inherently very stable and carry no risk of entrapment, so that even the most nervous paddler can quickly build up their expertise and gain confidence. Our experienced instructors run skills-based sessions for individuals and groups of all ages and abilities. They can guide you through your BCU qualifications or take you on an adventure exploring the stunning coastline – the choice is yours. What’s more, if the conditions are right, Swanpool Beach lends itself to some of the best surf-kayaking in the area.

Paddlesport start, Paddlepower start, Paddlepower Passport, BCU 1 star, BCU 2 star, BCU 3 star (Sea, Touring, Canoe), BCU Foundation Safety and Rescue Training, BCU 4hr and 8hr First Aid.
